I am so tempted. However, I bit on Demon's Souls and Bloodborne and it was a waste of money as I didn't enjoy those games (I know I will get downvotes for my opinion here, and it wasn't because of difficulty). I love games like The Witcher 3, Skyrim, Dragon's Dogma, etc. If I am not a fan of the other Fromsoft games will this one be a no go for me, or is there enough of the forementioned in the game to enjoy it?

If you are not a fan of Fromsoft games, you will almost certainly not enjoy Elden Ring. It is very much the same style - a grander and more open world scale, but still the same style.

I am so tempted. However, I bit on Demon's Souls and Bloodborne and it was a waste of money as I didn't enjoy those games (I know I will get downvotes for my opinion here, and it wasn't because of difficulty). I love games like The Witcher 3, Skyrim, Dragon's Dogma, etc. If I am not a fan of the other Fromsoft games will this one be a no go for me, or is there enough of the forementioned in the game to enjoy it?

Thanks so much for the feedback. The Witcher 3 just came out with their graphics upgrade of 50GB, so might just boot that up again. I never finished the expansions. Maybe this will come to Game Pass or PS+ at some point, and will try it then.

Funny this morning GMG had it for $51 and the timer said that price would expire in 41 minutes. I passed. Then got a GMG email like 41 min later for this price so I bought it.

Bought from Steam at full price a month or so ago when I got my new PC in, anyone else want a game discounted? I'll buy it now so it can be cheaper in a month or so.
*Side note, I tried one "souls" like game and didn't really like it, been LOVING this game so far.

I tried it because of the hype, then uninstalled it within the hour. Not my cup of tea, combat is very hard and controls feel floaty and imprecise to me.

Best bet is just buy it on steam then keep your playtime under two hours so you can return it if desired.

Next gen update for Witcher 3 is so good. In preparation for the last good season of the Witcher on netflix...Shame Henry Cavill is gone after season 3....

I may buy it. I hated the Souls games, just way to damn hard at times to be fun. I'll leave those town L33T players lol. Now I've heard this is very similar but being open world you can veer off an do other things instead of banging your head against a boss prior to any progression. Accurate?
