So I want this. But I have a SteamDeck... Do I actually need this? Does it give me anything more than just adding a razor kishi to my Pixel 6 Pro?

Doing research.... Even at this price considering I already own a SteamDeck and portable controller for pixel 6 pro I just cannot justify it.

I guess it's not a bad value if you're on an apple device and don't own a SteamDeck.

I mean… its an Android handheld. It has a nice screen, so-so controls, and is reasonably but not incredibly powerful.

What is your goal? A device like the Anbernic RG405M might make more sense as a secondary device because it's smaller, cheaper, and still very nice quality… if you want emulation only.

How does this compare to the Switch?
I have the G Cloud, the Switch and Steam Deck.

The G Cloud has the best ergonomics. It's very light, silent, and good controls. It also has amazing battery life for cloud gaming/streaming.

How often do you see yourself picking up the g cloud over the switch and steam deck? And what's the reason behind using the g cloud in those instances.

I primarily use the G Cloud for GeForce NOW or Xbox cloud gaming. It boots quick, and you can be up-and-playing within a few seconds.

Steam Deck is obviously best for Steam Games, and I use Switch mainly for 1st party Nintendo content.

Ah, I don't think I'd touch this then. My switch is used for some older games (switch online) and 1st party games. I wouldn't want to play Xbox games on a handheld. If the price dropped 50% or more I might consider it just to try though.

What games do you primarily play? The input lag from xbox/ g cloud is too much for me. My download is 800 mb with 50 upload and it still seems off

Does the d-pad suck as much as some reviewers say? It sounds like hitting diagonals are impossible. I've been waiting for it at this price point, but seeing the reviews makes me Frown
I'm looking to use this for 16-bit emulation and streaming a few (old school) jrpg games.

Save your money- this doesn't do anything the Steam Deck doesn't do, except play Android games.

Those Anbernic devices look really nice but the screens are tragically small by today's standards.

I currently do everything this has on my Samsung tab s8 and xbox controller. Makes it hard for me to shell out 250 bucks for something I can do with existing hardware that I already own.
