Not sure if this fits or not... but

I bought a ford f250 super duty last May thinking I was going to be going rv'n and it just didn't work out and i had second thoughts..75k later... I have a truck I drive to the store and my kid to school in. Not very useful in that regard. I was thinking of trading it in for a TESLA, i don't need anything super sporty so I was thinking of a standard model 3. However, it's likely my trade-in will be in the 65-70k range since my mileage even after a 3000-mile trip to Vermont/niagara and back is only at 5700 after 1 year. anyway, the 7500$ tax credit, would i still be able to get that if they end up owing me money on a trade-in?

Federal tax rebate has nothing to do with you not owing any money on the tesla. Only thing it factors in is your income.

As was stated the tax credit is something you fill out and save on your taxes owed the only time you would see it right away is the dealer should take the amount of the price used for leasing.
If the truck is paid for you may want to look at selling it to a dealer or to a private party.
Carvana, CarMax and others will provide online trade in values.
