Not crazy, just very close and back to precovid pricing. Weights in the past when sales were around the $1 a pound mark. Nice to see the prices come back to realism. It was bound to happen, people back at the gyms and no longer using or care about home gyms.
$1 per pound was typical for iron plates, bumpers like these were always more
I purchased this set back in May and have been pleased with the quality. Like @SoreDkDealCantBeatIt said, they do come oily and slick and for the first several days, they smell horrible. My only regret is I don't much care for the 55lb ones. There's nothing physically wrong with them but I just don't like using them. I would have preferred two 45's but again, that's just my personal preference.

$1/lb for cast iron plates. Bumpers were much more expensive maybe about $2.5/lb.
The going price for bumpers are usually around $1-$1.50/lb. These are great quality for the price and highly recommended. I will definitely be purchasing again.

My Titan economy bumpers are like that. It's like free built-in pinch grip training.

Nowadays iron hasn't dropped in price probably because it cost just as much to transport as rubber so there's no point in making those over rubber.
This is below $1/lb so... it's a crap ton lower than pre-covid prices especially if you include "inflation" also. Lol I bet it'll go lower though.
Even the used market, they're having trouble getting rid of crap.
