I bought AXE5400 3 pack during black Friday. Man, i can't believe how fast and efficient it is. I am getting about 800+ Mbps on average all around the house. I also have 70 devices connected to the network at all times.

Only complaint is the Deco app they provided only provided half the functions. The additional features (parent control, additional security, etc.) cost extra.

You can daisy chain them . There is a connection preference in the app . I just set up the x55 and it's there.
I stand corrected, maybe. The app doesn't allow you to dictate the daisy chain, it requires some trickery.

They must have changed the app. In the app there is a diagram that shows the main and the subs. Mine showed two subs both connected to the main, as you stated. Click on the sub you want changed, change connection from automatic to the other sub and enter. Took 1minute. I have the 3 piece set and connected the farthest to the middle sub which is connected to the main. My farthest sub is maybe 80 ft away and middle maybe 40. Minimal signal loss now in the house. Great system. Used on T-mobile home internet.

There was new firmware released that fixed this. Mine can now be adjusted manually under connection preferences, and you can specify what device you want clients to connect to also. You can also enforce 2.4 only now on specific devices if you want.

Many nice updates overall, it's not app specific, it's tied to newer firmware updates. Anyone missing these features check for new firmware, it's rolling across all the devices slowly. My newer deco system got the features months ago, my old x20 system got it just a week ago.

Parent control is additional cost after spending hundreds on their device?

Yes. I don't think they are the first ones to do this.

They do not daisy chain as they feed off the main router in this case so your router at 150ft would still be connecting directly to the main router.
This is horrible. Are you sure? Someone was telling me that they could add one wired and 2nd after that wireless. I was lied? Are there routers that daisy chain wirelessly?

Can you create virtual SSID or additional SSID to use for specific devices so you can take them offline if needed?

Yes, there's an option to create a Guest Network or IoT Network.
