They now have the 128GB version [totalbyverizon.com] for $99.99. You can just buy the phone from Total by Verizon and activate it on Tracfone's cheapest plan for $15/month ($10 with auto refill) to start the 60 days unlock clock. (FYI, the sim card comes with the phone can be used to activate the Tracfone service)

Total by Verizon just reduced their iPhone SE 2nd generation from $149.99 to $99.99 [totalbyverizon.com].

Similar to other Tracfone deals. The phone will be unlocked automatically after 60 days since activation. You only need to pay one month of service, not 2 months. I just got my iPhone SE 3nd generation unlocked from the previous front page deal.

Phone $99.99 + $30 1 month of service = $129.99 plus taxes.

This may not be as fast as the iPhone SE 3nd gen for $149.99 but should be better if you don't want to spend extra for back up.

Right. So I am assuming last year this guy bought a 64GB Iphone SE 2020. Used it for a year and wanted (swap phones) to upgrade to 128GB storage and a fresh battery. So he orders a brand new one from Total Wireless and is ready with his story about receiving a used iphone. He probably even factory wiped it and removed it from his iphone acount. He's out $10-15 for (shipping) the upgraded iphone. At $99, nobody cares about a warranty or Apple care. They use that as a reason/excuse to not want the phone.

Question: if doing autopay with Tractphone, what is the procedure to stop paying once the first month of paid and 60day unlock activation kicked off? Can I cancel online ? When and where should I cancel to not pay for the sencond month? Thanks a lot!

No, I did not buy a phone last year and try to scam them this year. The phone I received appeared to be new, given the way it was packaged, but it didn't work. The Apple Genius Bar employee confirmed the phone was defective but said that it was out of warranty because it had been sold over a year ago. Total by Verizon is selling phones that may not be covered by the Apple warranty. Buyer beware.

The apple warranty starts the day apple sends these phones to the retailers . If you buy directly from Apple it starts when you activate it. I learnt it the hard way as well when I had purchased from target and let it sit for a year and when I activated it the warranty was already over although it was a brand new phone

Also seems like if the service gets disconnected then phone will say unlocked??

Yeah this happened with an SE3 I brought from Wal-Mart for Straight Talk. Apple said warranty started July 2022, but I just brought the phone last week! They obviously will update the warranty if you give them proof of purchased tho.

Did anyone else order a 128GB phone but get a 64GB? None of the order paperwork or anything from Total lists the capacity, just "iPhone SE 2020" but I'm positive I ordered from the 128GB page.
