Wait you need a special PSU for the 4000 series cards now ?
4070Ti and above has 600W 12+4 PIN (12VHPWR) connector. If don't have PSU with that connector you have to use 2-4 8 PIN PCIe cables they rated at 150W each into adapter cable they include with the GPUs now.

They are backwards compatible, butthe power supply is still not compliant and does not include the proper cables for GPU power. Did you not go search what compliant means? Go look at the power supply that replaced this one or any ATX 3.0 PCIE5 compliant Power supply made after 2022. Who is buying a PCIE 5 SSD to run it at 4.0 speeds, likely only people with a PS5 ol. Why gimp him with buying an old system only to hit a wall when he\she does go out and buy a PCIE5 SSD. Its all on the money he\she wants to spend now, if you want to future proof your pc, then go with a deal on a current gen motherboard\cpu if its within his\her budget. Component compatibility: Before upgrading, ensure that your motherboard, CPU, and other components support PCIe 5.0. Not all existing hardware is compatible with the newer standard. If you have PCIe 4.0 components (such as graphics cards and NVMe SSDs) that you don't plan to replace, you might not fully benefit from PCIe 5.0's increased speed. https://www.howtogeek.com/854680/...%20ratings.

Depends on your PSU, I have a super flower se 1200, It didn't come with a PCIe 5 cable because it's an older PSU but it's 100% compliant and they actually sell the PCIe 5 cable separately.

This only has (5) 8 pin PCIe outlets if your motherboard CPU Powers takes (2) 8 pins to power it and you have 4090 that requires (4) 8 pins to adapter you can't power it. Unless buy aftermarket cable.

Of course not. I have an EVGA G2 850W from 2015 that's powering a 4090 just fine. But if I was to buy a new PSU, I would look for a new ATX 3.0 PSU that has the dedicated GPU cable. It'll look cleaner if nothing else.

Motherboards generally only need one power connector unless you are doing extreme overclocking!
