Not much. I have over 20 Ridgid batteries, Octane, Max Output and just the regular ones in all sizes from 2.0 Ah all the way up to 12.0 Ah, I did some extensive comparison testing between some of them using my Ridgid 3-gallon shop vac for run time one Saturday afternoon when I was bored. Long story short the Octane and Max Output batteries lasted roughly a minute longer than their brethren. I use all these batteries every day and can't detect any power difference between them. If it's there it's marginal. I highly recommended all Ridgid batteries and tools. I have around 20 Ridgid tools as well.

I've been eyeing the $99 4mah x 2 in the clearance aisle. But this is a no brainer as I really want smaller batteries for the quick fixes. And the dual charger is brilliant.
Side note: I had to use Microsoft Edge to get the HD website to work. I've never had that problem before, and turned off ad-blocking, but it just kept stalling in cart.
how big a difference are these vs Max batteries on brushless line ?
