Site doesn't respect my "Site Preferences"

Over the last couple of weeks the main page started showing me tons of credit card deals, even though my site preferences are configured that I don't want to see any financial deals.

This setting used to work and I'd see none of such deals, but something changed and now there's a ton of them.
I tried adjusting it to Neutral and Like and then back to Dislike, but that didn't change anything.

Please fix this bug.

No. SD has set out to annoy its users. That's why you see as many as three pop ups when you come to the site. They have been told about this over and over but don't listen to feedback. I don't know if it is a disgruntled employee or if SD is going out of business but all you can do is remove any reference to SD in links you take from the site to buy products so SD doesn't make any money off it.

If so, then those likely will make it ignore your category preferences for those deals/areas. (The 'always show fire deals' option actually says it means it always show them and ignore your other preferences for those fire deals).

If that's the case, then turn one or both of those options off and see if that works. (You can try one a time and see which is doing it maybe)

In Classic, on the front page it's under the Preferences section and on Redesign it's under the Personalize button. The same place you set the category preferences.

It's in "Just for you" and "Frontpage Slickdeals" sections too, which never used to show them.

Unfortunately that's probably something a dev would have to actually check. The mods did bring up your issue to the dev teams fwiw, but this time of year they're super busy and likely backed up, so it may take a bit longer for them to be able to check on it, sorry Frown Though the Fire Deal ones I think may show up in the Just For You and in the main Front Page. Turn off fire deals, credit card offers are still in my frontpage slickdeals.

I'm sorry Frown Then that's something the devs will need to look into. I know it's been a while already but please have some more patience for this time of year. Hopefully one of them can check into it soon.

Now in addition to financial deals now I'm getting a never-ending flood of travel deals even though I have it to dislike.
