This doesn't seem at all worth it vs the Quest 2 which can be had for $250 with a $50 gift card. Any major advantages for this? The only thing I see is OLED panels instead of LCD but that's limited to 75hz.
Everything else seems to be a downgrade.
My Odyssey+ is better for video watching than Quest 2 because of the OLED screen. It's starting to get glitchy on me now. Does the Vive have the same advantages for video over Quest that the Odyssey+ has?

Hmm, we have a bunch of VR headsets (like 10, including the previously mention Odyssey+, the Reverb, Rift, Quest 1, 2, and 3, the Index, PSVR 1 and 2, etc.), and are pretty much VR nerds... and this Focus Plus we almost never hear anything about. Side note, of all of the headsets we have, the Q2 and Index are used by far the most... until the Q3 came out, and now it is Index and Q3.
Once I saw that it was released like 4 years ago.. doubtful that it is any good, at least compared to Quest 2, etc. (much less Quest 3). I also didn't see many reviews for it which is weird, HTC Vive 1 was pretty sweet... but they seem to have fallen off ever since, coming out with headsets that very few want. As deals for the past few years have popped up for fire sales on the various HTC headsets, after checking out reviews and user posts... they have all been easy to skip. This looks like more of the same.
I agree that VR isn't a fad going away, but I wouldn't anchor solely on major electronics companies to base this on. For example, 3D TVs - remember those? 60+ million units sip sold over two years before they disappeared entirely.

Don't get this. It is first gen and way out of date. They are on the third gen of this device and that one is good if you need it or own a VR business but do not buy this.

I did find this one review, and seeing the graphics... YUCK. I did enjoy the guy calling it the HTC Vive "fukus" though .: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o2xv61V

Yeah.. Meta, Sony, and Apple don't know anything.

Think this is a joke, but the tax on Apple's VR will be DOUBLE this at $200
