Make sure the person actually activates the phone in the store. Send a txt and make a call in the store. Also, if you take the sim and put it in another phone, straight talk might deactivate the phone and you'll have to call them to reinstate the plan.

Hella scam, Walmart needs to get sued

Edit: I know a lot of folks were able to get the last one but the fact that they kept taking orders LONG after they ran dry is just straight up illegal

Too many people here are spoiled, SD can be a weird place. $49 is bad, $99 is bad, $150? In for one lol

This is a very good deal. Especially, if you are going to trade it towards some other phones.

I bought 2 at regular 149 price with no plan. Traded them in within hours without ever turning them on for $800 in bill credits on my kids iphone 15s. Sold their 13s for $450 each. In 2 years I'll do the same thing. Wash, rinse, repeat as needed.

Just leave the phone as is. It should get unlocked

You need to go back to the store and hope the rep can give you a new one and fix the problem. If you don't activate it, it doesn't start the 60 days timer towards unlocking.
