Negative, tried multiple browsers and various answers to the questions, but the app always bonked out. Tried calling but they won't do apps over the phone. The rep said it probably has something to do with me having both personal and business chase credit cards that are tired to the same web login, seems like a lame excuse, but who knows.

I have an appt at the local branch tomorrow. One thing that surprised me was the branch manager called me after I made the appointment to ask questions about my business. I have a sole prop and told him the name of the business which is the same as what's on my chase business cards. He then asked have I registered the name with the state? I said no, it's just a sole prop so no need, plus I already have a chase business card under that business name. He said no dice for a checking account, it had to be registered. I said, well fine, I'll just register it under my name since it's a sole prop using my ss# so it really doesn't matter. He begrudgingly said ok... It felt like a bizarre interaction. Almost like he didn't want to open the account for me to get the bonus. Also it's an hour and a half appointment which he demanded lol. Wish me luck tomorrow, it's already starting to feel like it's not worth it...
I opened a business account with them last month and called the customer service number today to see if they would honor this change in promotion. They told me that I need to go to a physical location and speak with a business relations manager to see if they could change it. So I guess I'll be reporting back once that happens.
I'm late to the game on seeing this. I just opened a new account on Friday with the $300 offer. I just called the banker who opened my account on Friday, and she cancelled the $300 offer and applied the $400. No problem to change the offer.

Thank you for making it clear. I guess not everyone has 30k laying around to make $750. when you start getting into larger amounts sitting there in a checking account you have to take into account lost interest . Subtract the interest for 33ish days at 5% interest that's about $135 in lost interest so there's that to consider. Still better off if you have the cash laying around to do the $750 offer . I usually transfer the two or three days early before its required to be in there so on the 28th day and then pull it out on first or second day after so the 61st or 62nd day after account opening
also the $750 is taxed roughly 30% so its comes out to about $500

Its taxed based on your income tax rate.. so it could get lower, or higher..

1. Are you eligible for bonus if you have chase personal account?
2. Are you eligible for bonus with new business account with new EIN (existing personal and biz customer)?

OK, just double-checking on the absolute minimum for qualifying activities..... five separate $1 purchases with the debit card on the same day will do it? I'm not at all motivated to get into ACH and transfer stuff, etc, but the debit card route would work for me.

Edit: NM, just started the online application and they are directing me to the physical bank. I already have 2 current Chase biz CCs, so was hoping I could slide thru online. I just hate the time involved in the premises visit and dictating stuff at length to the associate.

Random thought from my last bank consult --- I was actually fairly concerned about the acoustics there (of all things) at my last visit. Had to speak my SS#, financial info, etc, to the associate, and all the lobby hawks were right outside the doorway. I could clearly hear conversations going on right outside the door and in lobby, so I assumed that the converse was also true.

So, this account can't be opened by individuals?
Need a physical business address?

If Chase's processes are anything like the other major national banks, no issues opening as an individual. For instance, my "business" is passive income so I wouldn't have any separate documents, addresses, etc. I've never had an issue opening business accounts. In fact they ask very little questions about a business in general.

I got a flyer in the mail the other day which advertised the $900 promo of opening a chase bank account. I'll need to look at it again but it seems very similar to the $900 deal from a few years ago

Any reason to go with this over $900 promo that's in the mail? Are fees on personal accounts easier than business account? Any additional features with business accounts?

900 is personal savings + checking.

This is business checking. You can do them simultaneously
