To clarify, the original Neo Geo controller was an arcade stick. The controller this is based on was the gamepad that came with the Neo Geo CD, which came 4 years later (and flopped badly).
reviews seem bad. i'm gonna file this under dont let slickdeals waste my money, even if i tell myself it's only a little Smilie

also the whole idea., a retro controller with a single thumbstick instead of a d-pad, dont think i like it.

I was thinking the same thing since the price has tanked so far down after its release which was not too long ago...

I have one of the non-character ones that I use to play NeoGeo games on Mister. Seems just fine to me

Got mine, loving it!

I originally wanted the plain black but the paintjob is really good and I don't regret it now. The joystick is great, the buttons are great, connecting to windows PC is as simple as plugging in the dongle. The joystick is clicky but not loud, way softer than a fightstick.

I guess other people complain about the small deadzone on the joystick? Uh, well, fightsticks have the exact same thing.

This product is unique enough, in fact it's totally unique, that it would be foolish I think not to buy one when it's on sale. I don't necessarily expect this to be in production years from now, let alone a successor with the same style mechanical joystick.
