The double-click issue is present in all brands, not just a Logitech thing though
link please
I have a few of these and battery life has been great. Can't remember the last time I had to replace batteries in one.

I had Logitech mice for around 20 years now I am refusing to buy one due to infamous double clicking issue Logitech should be sued for putting the same switches to their devices! I have a mechanical Logitech keyboard even that suffers from double clicking only after two years of use.

Do you have a link to this...I am having a heck of a time with some mice in the last year or two. I don't understand...multiple mice...never had issues before. Guess it is the computer/os/vm/dongle or whatever, but wow it is frustrating.

Double clicking issues happen with all mice with mechanical switches (vast, vast majority) due to wear and tear. Some mice will last longer than others, but it's a crapshoot. You hear it more with brands like Logitech because it's the most popular. I've had this issue with Razer and Microsoft mice as well.

Mice with optical switches (nothing to do with optical sensors) alleviate this problem. As of right now I know Razer and Logitech make them, but they're high end gaming mice.

As for wireless mice/keyboards, I do like Logitech the most due to a combination of battery life and how smoothly it wakes up (just starts working when you start moving/clicking/typing).

One strange issue I've had with cheaper Logitech wireless mice many years ago was when I move my mouse horizontally, the cursor moves diagonally. I got replacements and it happened again, so I kinda gave up using everyday wireless mice from Logitech. I think one of them was the M510. But I've used their MX Masters and gaming mice and they've all been fantastic.

"Optical sensor" seems like the way to go

How to exit sleep mode? Just move or do I need to click to wake it?

Ehh got my steelseries for $10 FP deal. Ended up buying 3 and they are in use daily. The click travel feels a bit deeper than our razer deathadders and slick on a mousepad.

Agreed. Bigger for my hands. More programmable buttons. Dpi can be changed. This Logitech is too small, dainty, and lacks the functionality of the cheaper alternative mentioned.

I wish it had a back button like my Microsoft Notebook Mouse 5000, which I'm trying to replace.
