The bits are NOT proprietary. Practically any double ended bits from practically any company that makes a similar screwdriver will fit just fine in the Klein.
Lowes in store is clearancing out a bunch of klein kits like this from their Christmas setup. I saw these as well as the precision version and some electrical test kits. The latter being the best deal.
I know this is probably mostly me and I admit Klein quality is superb but I refuse to get screwdrivers with proprietary bits.
The bits are NOT proprietary. Practically any double ended bits from practically any company that makes a similar screwdriver will fit just fine in the Klein.
An old HVAC buddy of mine gave me one of these a long time ago. I have since purchased several to keep in my different tool stashes, junk drawers, etc. Probably my most used tool around the house! Highly useful and recommended.
