Does anyone know what happens if you have a Chase Ink Preferred card with the 25% extra when booking for travel and you buy 'fully refundable' airline ticket and if you refund it, do you simply get the points refunded back to the Preferred card or is it done as cash (with the 25%)?

if you mean booking through the portal using points, AFAIK your refund would be in points.
