My property management company allows me to pay rent with a credit card but charges a fee of 3 percent. Is there any credit card that gives rewards that would make this worthwhile. The card would be paid in full each month so I am just looking to get rewards or points on something beneficial

Best you could probably do is a pick your own cash back category card that would be a push like the BOA Cash Rewards card. There might be one that offers 4 or 5%, but I don't know of one off the top of my head. Hardly seems worth the trouble. Just pay using Bill Pay if you want to avoid having to write paper checks or mail it out each month imo.

A NEW credit card signup would be the best bet since they usually offer promos based on spending a lot in the first few months.

Usually other cash back rewards cards base it by category. Travel, gas, etc. They know what you are buying (always).
