In the winter, the temperature differential might not be enough to keep the food cold. In the summer, the compressor can get overworked due to being too warm, which also results in it not cooling enough.
Generally speaking, modern fridges and chest freezers that aren't garage ready should never be used in the garage.
The only reason older fridges seemed to survive is because they used different coolant and insulating materials. When used improperly, they may not have died a sudden death like the new ones, but they definitely put a bigger dent in your electric bill.
The fridge is well built and not noisy. More skinny than most other ones its size, but I like it since the height is slightly taller because of it.

so far no complaints, it gets hot around the middle sides, which is a problem as I needed a built in, but we shall see.
Now the bad stuff. It doesn't auto defrost. So, every couple of months mom has to set the dial to 0 and defrost. Probably will need towels etc to get the water out. A big inconvenience but no one makes auto defrost fridges in this size.
Another problem is that it is VERY easily damaged. I dropped the sealed crate about 8" and it bent one of the corners and the leg. Note that this was while it was still in box!
Hoping it will drop again soon at this price! 🤞🏼
