The idea is that you copy your own games with their unique identifiers….but obviously YMMV. I would play strictly in offline mode when using this card to be safe.

Quite possibly. This device is not for the faint of heart, if you care about your Switch and playing online. Nobody knows what the Big N is gonna do when they get their hands on this device and test it for themselves, but based on history, I'd say they could come down hard on folks, even if they use this device to back up their own legally purchased games. Proceed at your own risk.

EDIT: for those who think offline mode will be a way around Nintendo knowing anything, based on what I've read, the next time you go online the Switch will report everything it's done once it syncs with Nintendo servers. So offline mode might only be an option if you only ever leave the Switch offline permanently. Or if you have a jailbroken (or already banned Switch) then you might have options to get around Nintendo's security. I'm in NO WAY advocating doing this, but a quick check of Google/YouTube will show how some early testers of the device have reported on this matter.

I was thinking a "burner" Switch Lite with this would be a perfect fit. I always see those at Pawn Shops for like $75-$100.

This thing is bad news for used Switch games. You could buy a completely legit used game and still get banned if a previous owned had copied it onto one of these things.

There's a YouTube video that shows how it works, you have to eject it each time to cycle through the order of games. If you load a lot of games, it's gonna take a while.

Remember that each game has a unique certificate. If somebody shares a dumped xci of a game and multiple people go online with that same rip, Nintendo will initiate the ban hammer. If you just want to dump copies of your own carts, then you'll need to buy the dump tool along with this device.
