Here's a video that demonstrates the scrolling issue. The same issue in 3 exists for 3s. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r...s#t=12m07s [youtube.com]
Not sure it would make that much of a difference for me, but that's a noticeable improvement with the M$ mouse. Thanks for posting that.

Difference between 2s and 3s

3s is little chunkier than the 2s. It feels shorter but taller in the palm area. It made my index finger and wrist hurt with the way my hand would lay on it at rest. I ended up going back to my mx master 2s for this reason. The 2s also has noticeably louder click, which I found annoying but when wearing noise cancelling headphones it's bearable. Although eventually I followed a guide to mod the clicker switches to make it quieter. The 3s has USB c whilst 2s has micro USB. Other than that not much difference

I've had this for nearly four years (beginning of pandemic) and mine is still going strong. Very nice for giant spreadsheets.
Introduced 2022. Maybe a similar one, e.g., the 3.

You are using the scroll wheel wrong on the Logitech MX Master3. The button behind the scroll wheel toggles the scroll wheel between smooth and click modes. Just click it and you'll see it's incredibly smooth. This has been a feature since the original Logitech MX master mouse from over 10 years ago. Any reviews you see saying otherwise are not aware of this feature.

Damn... got the alert this morning and was about to buy it but got distracted. Just now remembered and they're long gone... been looking to get one of these for a while and finally got to do a hands on test borrowing a coworker's a couple months ago to make sure it would work for me.

$70 is about top end of what I feel it's worth.

Guess I'm in for another 3 month wait for the next deal.

Honestly if it wasn't for the weird back/forward button placement on the 2s I'd rather have that one. There doesn't seem to be a perfect design on the market for my ergonomic and utilitarian needs, but this one comes pretty close. About as close to the weird vertical mouse as I can get without it being too much.

I alternate between 2S and 3. I've adapted to the point I just find the placement different, not better or worse.

The guy you are quoting isn't using the scroll wheel wrong lol. Of course we know about the hyper scrolling feature. Heck I had it since the days of the MX Revolution... The scrolling issue is well documented on the 3 and the 3s. 3s is better than the 3 but still not as consistent as 2/2s.

I've been using the 3 as a daily driver for a while. The hyper scroll works great when really scrolling through lots. However, when gently scrolling, the on screen behavior is exactly the same as the non-hyper scrolling mode. Best way I can describe it is that it skips like 3 lines of text with each scroll, instead of just scrolling smooth up and down. As if the tactile response is still there. Hard to explain.

I just had to get used to it. I don't mind it.

Mine arrived yesterday in a blank, black box and it appears used (the pads on the bottom have numerous scratches as if it has been moved across a desk for quite some time). Anyone else receive a MX Master that does not appear to be "new" as it was advertised?
