This is the cheapest I have seen this monitor ever! YMMV on the $75 with chat although it worked with my EPP discount no problem. This happened last time on the very popular OLED deal a few months ago but they cut the promo code after they found out after a few hours.

Deal Instructions:
Visit your qualifying program:
Samsung Discount Program (for EDU/EPP)
Visit the product page for 57" Odyssey Neo G9 Dual 4K UHD Quantum Mini-LED 240Hz 1ms(GtG) HDR 1000 Curved Gaming Monitor
Add to cart
You may be prompted to sign into your Account
Proceed to checkout
Your total should be $1499.99 + free shipping.
Cart page should have a "chat with rep" on the bottom left. If you chat with rep and link them this item they will give you a custom cart or code for an extra $75 off.

I did a full write up of trying 3 different monitor configurations over the course of a month as a tech reviewer and an I.T. pro that works from home as well as a gamer.

Having had triples for over 20 years, of the 3 setups I kept this monitor (with the Neo G9 49" over the top) and so I have already gone thru many of these challenges.

1.) For now yes but 120hz with the RTX 4900 is more than good enough, especially as most games at native resolution are probably not going to hit 240hz anyways. Getting the monitor now means next generation may support it, as usually we keep monitors longer than other parts of a PC.

2.) 32:9 is a bit much for anything other than racing and such, but setting a 21:9 resolution for your game works great and looks great. I am always playing 21:9 on this and not 32:9 even if a game supports it as I think it looks better and at native resolution I really kinda need the extra FPS (Cypberpunk Overdrive)

3.) Puttting a monitor over the top of this basically gives me 4 screens, this takes up less desk space than the triples I had before it. That was one of the main reasons I didnt keep the 3x Neo G8 setup, it was just too much on the desk.

No reason you cant snap a window to 1/2 the screen and your video to the second, and if you really really need a 2x monitor mode it does support PBP.

good deal but after getting 49 g9 which i had to return due to dead pixels i'm kind of scared to pull the trigger on this. comment on qc once you get this guys.
Dead pixel happens to any models from any makers.

Man, this is a smoking deal and very tempting. Was planning to buy from BB for $2k and add 4 year Geek Squad warranty. seems super risky buying direct from Samsung with the history of all their large (49"/57") monitors and QC problems, not to mention how awful Samsung is to deal with for warranty. The 57" seem to have a lot less problems reported online but it's also not been on the market all that long, which also means no good info on longevity.

I'm leaning towards It might be worth pay $500 more to buy from BB just to be able to get 4 year Geek Squad warranty know you are 100% covered (including dead pixels) with a rather painless warranty experience for a full 4 years. Saving $500 here ultimately translates to losing 2 years of warranty and less coverage as Samsung Care+ is only 2 year and also doesn't cover dead pixels.
I had no issues using Samsung warranty for my Galaxy Fold 4. First and only time I had to use their warranty and it went very smoothly.

57" with 49" over the top.
Looks sick! I might do this as I have a G9 and a CRG9 sitting around which I was going to flip after the 57" arrives.

One question though. Does this mount get clamped at a single point on the edge of the desk? Wouldn't the weight from 2 monitors being focused on a small clamping point on the desk damage the desk?

it depends on what's acceptable to each individual. on g9 neo i had about 8 dead pixels with few in the center of the screen. to me that was unacceptable and it shouldn't be for any model from any maker. tbh even one in the middle of the screen is noticeable because once you see it you can't unsee it.

I'm not saying dead pixels are acceptable. You said you're hesitant to buy this because your previous samsung had dead pixels, but dead pixels are common qc issues that can be seen from all brands so I was simply saying you can't use a general issue like that and pin it on a specific brand. There are brand specific issues, and there are just widespread issues that affect the entire tech segment.

I've had 32" G5, 32" g7, 49" G9, 49" CRG9 from samsung and none of them had dead pixels.

that's why i asked whoever gets this to let us know if they got dead-pixel free monitor. that will give me a bit of confidence to pull the trigger, since returning this monster will be quite a hassle. i didn't get 'lucky' on my first try so you can understand why i am be a bit hesitant. i feel like if someone's dropping 1k+ on a screen the qc should be top notch.

Yes just one point, pretty big size, I did take a few pieces of wood that I used to build my fiancée's desk and put them ontop of my desk for extra support, but I think that it would have held no issues even without.

It did give me just a couple of extra inches of height as well, and that was welcome as I am using the entire height of the mount to hold both monitors.

Thanks for the reply!

I ordered the 57" but I do have a G9 (original) and the CRG9 lying around... I'm thinking of either selling them locally or if it takes a long time to sell, I might go your approach and set up the G9 above the 57". Still thinking about it though because that sounds like an overwhelming amount of screen LOL but I saved the mount you recommended to my amazon shopping cart incase I do want to give this setup a try.

EPP for me registers this at $1,395.77 before tax but referral codes do not work to further reduce the price. Can get $50 cashback too if you know where to look.

My wife is going to lose her shit when she sees how big this is.
