I am tempted and looked at this listing recently, want music storage for running, but seller is kinda iffy. Another of their VA4 listings was "New (other)" and reviews said it was refurbished, seems to be a pattern with their Garmin listings if you look at their feedback.
So it is possible that these are refurbished or even factory second watches. I'll make an edit to my post and include this information.
Even if it's refurbished, with the manufacturer's warranty I would still be okay with that if I needed one

(1) AOD -- the Always On Display is the entire normal display due to the transreflective memory-in-pixel screen. It's not a crappy "lite" version of the normal screen with just the time or something. It's the same thing. When I look down at my wrist I want to be able to see the time, date, temp, etc.. without flicking my wrist or any other action. If you're the same, this is the screen you need. In broad daylight it can't be beat - no LED or OLED screen holds up under bright light like this screen.
(2) Battery Life -- the only time I plug it in to charge is while I shower and get ready in the morning and even then I only plug it in every 4-6 days. With that 15-25 minute window it's enough to go for another 4-6 days. It's always on my wrist at night for sleep tracking or silent alarms in the morning instead of charging on a nightstand. Battery life is huge.
I'm an iPhone guy but wouldn't give my Garmin Vivoactive 4 up for an Apple Watch simply because of these two reasons.
What do I not like? The Spotify music sync is utter garbage. You can get playlists onto the watch if you want to walk, run, hike and listen to music/podcasts without your phone, but it's kind of a pain. I rarely go out without my phone so it's a none issue for me but if I needed to be untethered from my phone regularly and use the watch for my music source, I would not recommend this watch.
Other than that, no complaints. Rock solid build. You won't regret it. At this price I'm contemplating getting a second one so I have another when mine craps out some day. The updated Vivoactive 5 went away from the transreflective MIP screen, which makes it unsuitable to me as a future replacement.

I echo everything this person says. Also an Apple user here. I tried an Apple Watch for a couple weeks (was testing for FIL to use the ECG function) I'm back to the Vivoactive 4S and like this better. The true always/on display is a winner.

It is going in and out of stock. Check periodically. In stock and ordered as of this post.
Thanks for the heads-up. It took a few tries over about 20 minutes but I was able to sneak an order through.
These items are 100% used but in excellent cosmetic condition. 90% of people don't care (or don't notice) they got a used item. It is infuriating that these sellers get away with this and eBay does nothing about it. Every time I ordered and received an obviously used item, I contacted the sellers pointing out their abuse of eBay's Ts&Cs. They all instantly accept a return for full refund. None of them ever denied their wrongdoing.
This is still a decent deal @ $100 even if used/refurbished with a 1 year warranty.
