Don't forget the Tax.

"Additional hotel-specific charges: A 21% tax, $2 environmental tax per night and service charge of 5.5% of the total room rate, per night, are not included and will be paid directly to the hotel. Parking is complimentary."

I just got back from PDC last night. I remember reading some reviews on this property and they were not great lately LOL. I've never stayed here before, but it looks really impressive from the ocean looking towards the shore.

Aren't high hotel taxes pretty much a universal constant no matter where on earth you travel? (I'm sure there are exceptions though). To me that is like saying "don't forget the gravity."

Heck, I'm surprised they aren't trying to stick you with a $30 per night parking fee and some silly 'resort fee' (that costs almost as much as the room) like many hotels in tourist destinations.

Sounds like a good deal, but I don't see anything about "all inclusive". I will pass unless anyone can confirm food and drinks are included.

Stayed next to it. Did a drone video that covered the front of it from the ocean, and it looked phenomenal. Next time I'm in PDC I'm staying there but on elite points.

Grand Hyatt is not an all inclusive hotel. If you want an all inclusive mid budget rate, try one of the RIU hotel in Playa del Carmen. They have 4-5 hotels in the same location, if you book it from their web site directly, they will pick you from Cancun air port.

idk, I always pay in points and haven't had to deal with it >.> lol

Favorite was a nice hotel in the Bahamas with waterpark that charged $49 resort fee per day iirc, but kept getting waived for our stay with points.

Used to work at a hotel and was always taken aback by the 11% county tax with 6% tax on top. Only final prices should be shown on these websites.

Rius almost always cheapest via Hotwire or Priceline.

Can confirm that the Riu Palace resorts just a little farther south in Playacar are legit. We stayed at the Riveria Maya but wandered to all the properties.

They do have a silly resort fee (which covers tea and a coffee maker in your room! Lol) which is waived with this deal.

I really hate resort fees for regular hotels. At an actual resort or something like Kalahari where the resort fee is basically the water park admission you're at least getting something for the money.

I visited Cancun in December and that was my first time. I highly recommend an all-inclusive hotel/resort as the food and drinks are very expensive. Some of the places in the downtown area deal with cash only which is a minor inconvenience but the brighter side is that they all accept USD.
It's better to plan your trip ahead of time and make reservations in advance online as that will save you a ton of money otherwise rip off all along the way especially rental cars and tours.
