The blacks are a lot better than led, but not as good as oled. That being said, this is a great value for the price!

You are correct. 60Hz is terrible for gaming when the market is full of faster TV's out there.

This is coming from a pretty hardcore PC player who gets mad when apex legends runs less than 144fps. If you're in this price range for a TV like this, I doubt you'll do better outside of trying your luck at goodwill.
