Anyone have experience with MiniLED? Am I correct in understanding that it's a cheaper, slightly less dazzling alternative to OLED?

The blacks are a lot better than led, but not as good as oled. That being said, this is a great value for the price!

I see an asterisk in the Amazon specs that says "* The refresh rate varies from 4k@48Hz-60Hz" which I believe is in regards to the "Game Mode Plus" feature...

They seem to tout this as a good gaming TV but I thought 60Hz and below was awful for gaming? Comments?

60hz is pretty standard for most games. >60hz was not even possible until the current generation of game consoles came out, and even then I would say it's only necessary if you are interested in competitive shooting games. To be quite honest - if you're starting to worry about 60+ fps gaming, you're better off getting into PC gaming imo.

That being said, 120+ hz is pretty great for playing games when you get used to it.

I grabbed this to replace our bedroom tv and gotta say I love it. Replaced an older TCL regular led and contrast difference is awesome.

Reviews say the viewing angle is very narrow, do you agree?

Anyone know how this compares to the Hisense A76k 55" on sale for $260? Is this better than a QLED right before OLED?

You are correct. 60Hz is terrible for gaming when the market is full of faster TV's out there.

Just because a company touts something in their marketing doesn't make it so.

It's bad for competitive FPS games, otherwise most console games don't even run at 60fps. Terrible is a bit of a stretch.

This is coming from a pretty hardcore PC player who gets mad when apex legends runs less than 144fps. If you're in this price range for a TV like this, I doubt you'll do better outside of trying your luck at goodwill.

I bought this on Amazon. I have to say picture and sound wise it is phenomenal! Honestly I think the picture rivals my several year old LG OLED and the sound blows it away. That's the good. The bad - the smart operating system response is definitely the slowest I have had any TV ever. I'll live with it but it's bad. I also don't like the Google TV interface as much as the Roku I had before. If it bugs me enough I may just add a Roku 4K capable box.
