If you don't care for physical copy then Microsoft is currently having an anime sale that includes most of these movies for about $3.99 each.

Your looking at the rental price. I'm looking seeing a sale price of $11.99 on the site.

I can't speak for the sellers on eBay or Walmart, but I was gifted the "Collected Works of Hayao Miyazaki" and it's a really solid release of the Disney published BluRays. 11 films, up to The Wind Rises. It's listed at $26 on Walmart and $35 on eBay.

There's no DVD version and no digital (though these don't look to have digital). Also, Grave of the Fireflies is not a Miyazaki movie, so that isn't included. And if you are a cardboard sleeve hater, it is cardboard inserts, but they included foam for the discs.

All said, it's an excellent box set. A no brainer for $26. I will say I don't know anything about the seller. I think my copy was around $75 several years back when Disney still had rights.

I recommended people counterfeit copies. They are pretty legit counterfeits! look around

$6 shipping for me kills the deal. None of these appear to be eligible to pick up in store.

Looks like a lot of the cheaper copies of that are bootlegs FYI.

These are available on European Netflix for streaming if you have a VPN just FYI.

Spirited Away: Live On Stage (Blu-ray) [target.com] is available too.

Target Redcard gives free shipping no minimum for most things. Plus 5% off everyday.

They offer a debit card version too if you don't want a credit card.

Free shipping on $35+ too. Likely you could add other everyday essentials to get to $35+ or return for refund any fillers at the store. I try to avoid pay shipping fees if I can.

lmao. I've got the counterfeit version.

So I've watched the disc versions of Totoro and Howl's Moving Castle and they look like legitimate copies. They must have been a 1:1 copy for the bootleg, with no additional compression. Like gorgeous transfers.

BUT, here I am talking about how nice the disc plastic covers are on slickdeals and apparently the post i see on reddit says that's the sign of a counterfeit! Well the discs sure seem legit, but I didn't buy the set myself, so I guess they are likely counterfeit.

I'll update my original post. ā€‹

Patiently waiting for 4k before building the Ghibli library. Kids will be old enough to appreciate them by then!

Do you have a source for upcoming 4k release? I had read that anime historically wasn't developed in 4k (newer Netflix/ Crunchyroll are releasing in 4k apparently)
