Be careful with refurb macbooks, you aren't always eligible for applecare, and therefore any screen issue you have, you're on your own.
These are Apple Refurbished so getting the full year shouldn't be a problem and they should be AppleCare+ eligible. Might take a call to Apple to have them adjust the warranty start to your purchase date but otherwise most people have no issue.

This is correct. It will be eligible and the one year warranty comes at the time of purchase.

Excellent price for a good machine. This machine does not have the gimped ssd, and still has a very strong cpu. The improvements have been small the last few releases of these especially for the base model.

Bought a 16" mbp 512 gb 16 ram.l a month ago. Open boxed. $1214 before tax. Checked battery cycle count: One cycle! SSD was also pristine. Had the official Apple certified logo on it. Couldn't tell this was even barely used at all. Chicago store. Came with 1 year Apple warranty. Love it

Just a tip- call Apple and show your receipt to update the warranty to start on your purchase date. They do this no problem since it is an Apple refurbished product. You can also add AppleCare+ for 60 days.

Fantastic MacBook, I have a similar one but with a 1tb SSD. Battery life is amazing and I have never heard the fans come on, even during intensive tasks.

The Costco deal with 100$ more for *New* M2 of the same configuration seems better.

Isn't that for the 14in only? If 16in have a link?

That's the 14 inch, and the specs really aren't better.
Especially the gimped SSD.

Cheapest 16" inch option is 1999, and that's after a sale and for the m2 chip not the current m3.

For a 16" this is a solid deal.

If microcenter says Factory Refurbished then it will be refurbished by Apple and you will get the 1 year warranty and 60 days to add apple care. Picked this up from Dallas store last week but planning on returning because I am feeling it's pain to fit it in a backpack. If this would be machine mostly sitting at a desk really good deal but if you are going to use it on the move it is a little bit of pain

In the MacBook world that's the most expensive 2" difference. For whatever reason. Kinda strange when the specs otherwise are identical on base models at least the 2021 M1 Pro models. The 16" has always had quite a price premium.
