Now I need a deal on an SDS hammer drill
The flutes in the shank makes it hard to use in non sds chucks.
I would be wary of running these bits in anything other than SDS-Plus drills. At the very least it will probably ruin the bit, or even worse, destroy your non SDS chuck…

Interesting, maybe I should try them in my regular hammer as well assuming that's what you mean. In my sds, it does turn them into butter.

If you have a harbor freight you can buy a $59 3ah baurer battery and get a free tool. I got the $89 SDS hammer drill. It is the brushless version

Thought about this...don't you need a minimum 12" insertion to install rebar into existing concrete (if you want to expand the concreted area)?

Most concrete isn't 12" thick. Putting rebar all the way through concrete is asking for rust and long-term erosion in most environments
