They couldn't find it because it was never bought and activated with them properly, your biggest mistake was using those Sims (especially straight talk one) and at this point your best bet is 3rd party unlock which will cost money, another option is to trade them in for some other primo since it won't matter for trade in if they're locked to carrier or not.
