My auto insurance payments are going up 50% next month

I just got an email from my auto insurance provider, Metromile. It's a pay-per-mile type company that I've had for at least 5 years now. It seems that my insurance company got bought out by Lemonade and the rates will go up next month.
I ran some numbers on last months mileages. If I continue to the same plan my last months payment of $51.62 will approximately be $75.19. That's about a 50% increase.
So I'm wondering if anyone can share what auto insurance companies you use? I'm looking for one that's cheap (liability only) and can do monthly debit payments (since I can't afford to pre-pay 6-12 months in advance).
Thanks for your help.

Print out your current policy and all of the options and then request the same coverage from GEICO, All-State, Travelers, Nationwide, Progressive, and Liberty. If you are or have an immediate family member who is a military veteran then you can use USAA.
I find that GEICO is and has been the cheapest for me for the past 7 or 8 years. You need to keep up with it and check rates from everyone about every other year.

Not sure where OP lives, but some states now have laws that require auto insurance companies to tell you what factored into their decision to raise your rate. I'd look to see if you have a law and ask anyway.

If I weren't so lazy, I'd use a broker who I'm told can do a decent job getting good pricing.
Finally, friends and family have recommended insurance through Costco saying they've saved big money doing so. You may have to join Costco to do this but the savings on insurance may make it worthwhile.

I was also thinking that besides the reason stated above (and people need to learn to opt out of this stuff and/or disable the module that sends data), driving an older car is probably why my auto insurance is cheap by today's standards (at least between now and September).
