I'll second this. I have a Watch 4 Classic that's less than a year old and I am struggling to get more than 1 day on a full charge even with always on display disabled. Biggest disappointment for me as well.

Yeah it's a shame because you can get it at a low price with the rotating bezel which is compelling. But I can't handle that kind of battery anxiety. Movboi has a dual screen tech at that can extend the battery life from up to 4 days. An essential mode that can last weeks but still has a pedometer and sleep tracking. But no Google Assistant support. Which is odd because it was supported in the last generation.

Fossil had the same limitation and they ended up ditching the entire smartwatch industry. Google seems to have nerved some functionality for all but Samsung. Borders on Monopoly behavior. Google is just not treating it's other partners well with wear os

I'm hoping the OnePlus watch 2 might have Google Assistant support. Although I would probably wait for it to be 9 months old and on the resale market before I actually bought it

I got a brand new watch4 posted here last year, battery lasts for less than a day(not lte ver) around 8-10hrs. Traded in for watch6, it lasts 1.5 to 2 days. Everything else is great except batt life for me.
I have watch 4 classic as well and was going to trade in for watch5 but when i got the watch5, I noticed the screen is not as bright and a little more washed out (especially for oled). I am pretty sure it's the same screen but perhaps it uses a different algorithm for auto brightness, I am not sure for it was very noticeable. i think this is why there's a battery life difference. I returned the watch5.

When the watch6 came out, I bought that too to trade in watch4. It was the same thing. It was noticeably less bright and more washed out! I returned it right away.

Yes, the watch4 is less battery life, but that's why you need the 46mm, not the 42mm one, for the bigger battery. I have always on display and I can get through a day with about 30% left, but I don't get a million notifications like others may get. I have a small wrist (usually 40-42mm watches) but the 46mm doesn't really wear very big. The bigger touchscreen also makes it easier to use.

design is oddly bulky? look at pixel watch or Apple Watch or Fitbit versa and they are way more slim
Those smartwatches look like cheap fitness watches. You are just brainwashed into thinking it looks fine because of Apple. The watch4 classic is one of the very few smartwatches that looks like a real watch. I put on a stainless steel band and a classy chronograph watchface and I get compliments all the time. People ask me if that's the Tag Heur $2k smartwatch all the time.

What does lte cost monthly?

$5 (after auto-pay discount) on TMo with 500MB high speed data then throttled afterwards...

Google Fi states LTE only works on Galaxy Watch 5 and 6, can anyone confirm that the watch 4 will work on Fi?

Guarantee the battery dies every day. I tried one that was refurbished, waste.

My Watch6 barely lasts a whole day. Every review I see and read says close to 2 days. I have no idea why I've never gotten close. Mine was brand new directly from Samsung.

It does not work with Fi. I just traded in my 4 for a 6 and I'm much happier with it. They look identical but my 6 does work with Fi, lasts two days, is much faster (Google Assistant now works), and I got $130 trade in from Samsung for it. Would avoid the 4 at this point.

personally I just dont like the bulk, I like the clean look of something like the Pixel Watch. Apple Watch design is meh.

What I dislike about this watch is that it looks like a normal ancient watch(non smart watch).

"refurbished" here = its heavily used and shows signs that it still works at a basic level

IMO 98% rating pretty low for a high volume ebay seller
Nope, I speak from expereince. I just got this watch a day ago from the seller. It's like new. I can't see any visible flaws. It's like new in open box condition. With all the accessories like charging cable, power adapter.

I do have the 46mm one. Battery indicator on the watch is estimating 28 hours on a full charge when I remove it from the charger but in practice I am getting closer to 22-24 hours.

Well obviously it's going to vary depending on various factors including lte turned on all the time vs BT or wifi and how many notifications you get in a day (everytime it vibrates uses up battery). Does it really matter if you get 24 hours vs 28 hours? Do you not charge it when you go to sleep (do you not sleep?)?

My Watch4 is advertised at 40 hours on a full charge (not 28 hours). I wear it at night for sleep tracking and health monitoring (both of which are highly advertised features).

Back on topic to SD, seems like a poor value product if you have to tell people to turn off all of the features you paid for just to get even close to a battery life that doesn't cause charging anxiety.
