This SSD makes absolutely no sense when top tier WD, Nextorage and Crucial models are selling for the same price.

This drive seems to be made for low-end AMD 8000 series CPUs which have 2 x PCIe 5 M.2 slots. Otherwise PCIe 5 here is a gimmick.

Maybe I am spoiled from last year, but these prices are atrocious compared to the incredible SSD prices we had last year. I want to pick up another one for a game drive, but I am going to hold the line, especially knowing how low the prices can actually go.

SSD prices bottomed out last year because there was a huge surplus of chips in the market that manufacturers have since eliminated by slashing production, so get used to these current prices as the new normal for a while. In addition, early in the year is never a good time to get the best prices on electronics.

Yeah that's totally fine. I picked up a 2TB SN850X last year for $85, so I'm not in a massive rush to buy a new drive lol. Just hurts a bit, especially since I got this as a gift for a friend last year for $80. It can, and probably will, get lower in the future.

last fall was a once in a decade bottom in the market
i feel bad for anyone who thought it would go lower from there and waited until this year. really really missed out

i scooped up a fistful of NVME drives. not sure what to do with them, but they've gone up in value over 20% since lol.
