Resolved: Setting to allow incoming private messages from anyone

Please help! Anytime I try to send a PM to someone it says I have my settings to only allow contacts to message me and the user I am messaging will not be able to reply to my message. I have looked on every settings page and I do not see anywhere to change this setting per https://help.slickdeals.net/hc/en-us/articles/115004724794-Configuring-Your-Profile-Settings-and-Options.

Sorry to hear you're having this issue. While logged in to Slickdeals from a computer browser, click this link:

https://slickdeals.net/forums/profile.php?do=editoptions

On that page, uncheck the option called "Receive Private Messages only from Contacts and Moderators". Let me know if that doesn't fix it.

Hi! The only messaging option I am seeing is the below:

Private Messaging

This forum features a private messaging system, which allows members to send messages to one another privately. If you do not want to send or receive private messages, you may disable the private messaging system.

(Checkbox) Enable Private Messaging

I figured out how to view Classic mode and was able to find what you referenced. Thanks!
