Well the BB employees are wrong. S89C has a qd oled panel while c3 has a wrgb panel. Qd oled is much brighter and has more color volume

follow up frustration. Went to buy it, got the best buy visa with the 10% best buy cash back... At checkout only 5% actually applied. I hate the deal being changed after agreed...

Didn't buy and cancelled card. My business is worth a lot more than $85 (5%). I'll buy somewhere else or something else.

After Best Buy wrapped me up in the whole "we refuse to sell you this TV if you have to lay it down" then having to rent a box truck from HD (because all of the trucks and vans were rented out and I had a limited time window) for $30, I finally got it home and setup. (As an aside, the lone Best Buy employee that loaded the TV jarred it and laid it down much more than we would have if they let me take it home in my SUV...) Anyways, the TV is really nice, but Jesus it is HUGE! The other TV I had was 65" and the additional 12" makes this thing seem much larger than its predecessor.

All in all, I'm happy with it though and the price was right!

I bought this TV 2 weeks ago on the same deal - it's amazing. Zero regrets.

One thing I will say though - use this on a wall mount because the plastic feet they call a "stand" are way too flimsy for this size monitor.

Thumbs up on the deal as it's incredible for sure. I've thought about pulling the trigger multiple times but I've seen several reviews for the S90C about various issues that occur shortly after purchase, perhaps the most common being an issue where the screen goes black. Of course the S90C and the S89C are very similar. On the surface, it may not seem horrible as all electronics experience failures but many of the stories also highlight the extremely poor customer service experienced when dealing with Samsung to resolve these issues. Even with the great price, to me it's not worth the risk.

Late last Sunday, I found an Excellent open box for $1408 but was distracted before checking out. When I got back to my computer the price must had gone up after midnight, scratching my head since the deal was just posted Thursday. I got excited the deal reposted, went back to check out, and now that Excellent open box is $1628. lol ffs

Same hear, they raised the open box prices. It's not worth the open box risk now. UPDATE: on 3/11, They raised the price of open-box items again ($1601.99 for openbox fair now, was $1502 I think yesterday).

Another point, I do like the $299 for open box 5 year warranty vs. $494 for new

Based on CES videos I watched (digital trends and fomo), doesn't look like there is going to be a big upgrade to the s90d. The s95d will get a matte screen to help with glare, but personally i prefer the glossier color

I don't think it is worth holding out for the S90D. There has even been some discussion if the S90D will be a QD or WOLED panel. Obviously you want the QD otherwise just go buy an LG C series.

On a different note, what is free installation at Best Buy? I noticed that is included now with the TV. Really hoping they just drop the price a little more.
