Had uber 1 for free for a month. Didn't really see the benefit of it.
Great deal - I think this is a ~$60 savings? That said I'm too frugal/cheap for paying delivery/tip and generally just walk/drive somewhere to pick something up so I probably won't use it My free grubhub I never use lol

Besides maybe deals that go along with restaurants using these Apps - I also see no benefits to these services; I signed up for Doordash 1 month free to get the Wendy's deal (order $12 or more get $15 back). After tax and delivery tip I paid $4.95. So, yes it was a deal - but Wendy's always have deals going on in their App and it's free. So, I would rather find the deal using the store's App and go pick it up myself.

The deals are the only reason as it usually counteracts the tip and delivery so you get free convenience. And it's usually better for things that don't often have offers like restaurants vs fast food. Personally I use UberEats every month because I get free Uber Cash from my Amex cards.

So what I learned for the Doordash deal was - I had to use delivery. If I can get deals via Doordash/Uber Eats - Etc... then I can see value. But if I'm forced to use Delivery - Pay service fee + Tip then these deals usually are eroded to the point I would rather just use Store's App and go pick up. Sure, I understand the convenience of Delivery - but like someone else said - I hate tipping. And then having to pay another monthly fee seems like a drag, I thought about signing up for this deal - and I may do it just to check it out (like I did for Doordash) but I will definitely cancel before renewal.

Yes it erodes the deal but the point I was trying to make is the deal becomes a deal of convenience rather than a discount on the meal. So you're still winning. Uber also has a pick up function so you could use the deal through Uber and go pick it up so you don't lose the food discount if that's more important.

Protip: Combine their 50% or $10 off 20 or whatever deals that they are always sending with restaurants with BOGO items and the food becomes incredibly cheap, sometimes even free. You are just left with the fees/tax/tip and if pick-up is allowed by the deal those become next to nothing as well
