Should just be its regular price by now with how often it goes on sale at this price. Bring back $60 atleast
The mah is the capacity of the battery/how long it will run. It does not affect speed.
this is $99ish since an year. i bought it last summer and it stopped working within few days. tried to get the support, but not got enough support. it may be one odd wrong product i got.. but just letting you know.
price is 99$ all most all around year
Thanks.

Same thing happened to ours. Stock steering servo has plastic gears. Search Amazon for "ZOSKAY 1X DS3218 Update servo 20KG Full Metal Gear". $15 easy swap with a screwdriver. Works well for us.
Thanks! Just bought a new servo per your rec. I'm glad there are replacement parts for these issues. Hopefully it solves the issue and gives the car a second life. My kid was bummed out that the steering stopped working so well.
I bought this a few years back. It's a great beginner RC car and can take a nice beating. Runs faster than any RC car in this price range.
We prob used it for about 5-10 hours of run time total. It was great until the steering broke. It's still turns but it's very unresponsive. Not sure how to get it fixed since there aren't many resources online but will prob need to replace something or trash it.
I upgraded to 3600 mAh battery (still NiMH) and needed to buy some different adapter to support the diff battery terminals. Run time was maybe 20-30 minutes each.
Breaking fixing and upgrading is all part of the hobby. This normal even for cars hundreds of dollars more expensive.

This is where I miss the kit RCs. My first real RC was a Tamiya Blackfoot and I built it myself so when it broke I pretty much knew where everything went and I tore that thing apart and fixed it countless times. These RTRs are great for just getting out quick and having fun but for new people, it becomes hard when you inevitably break something.
Hope your steering servo fixes your RC otherwise check if any parts like the linkage, servo saver, or anything in the suspension is busted. All parts are available and Jenny's RC is a great site for cheap(er) parts.
Also if you post a picture of the front end on Reddit /r/rccars I'm sure the folks there will be able to help.
Prob with these is once it breaks, your virtually done...I think you are waaay better spending a tad more and picking up a used traxxas that mom is selling on fb marketplace cause her kids are done with them...if you search regularly, there are some killer deals on fb marketplace for traxxas...if your kid is a beginner you can set a governer on the traxxas to limit the speed
FWIW, my son's has lasted about 5 years now and going strong. The caveat is it only gets a dozen run a year as I have to pry his cold, dry hands off a console controller to get him to go outside.
I bought this several years ago for my son on a sale similar to this. This thing has taken a lot of abuse with zero issues. I would recommend to any parent for their kid before buying something for much more to see how they like the hobbyit

FYI Arrma has grown into quite the RC car company ever since their first Raider back in 2010. Tough little bugger, never broke anything on it and sold it only a few years ago.
I still remember when Traxxas was the new kid on the block and Kyosho, Tamiya, and Associated were the main brands and here comes Traxxas with their Bullet and Hawk/Radicator and some other stuff made of really brittle white plastic (I had a Rad2).
I have a bunch of 3s lipos from Drone builds. Will they work on this?
This ESC is only rated for 2S lipo plus I'm thinking your drone packs are much smaller than the typical bricks we run in our trucks (those are like 5000 mAh).

Im looking into getting an RC car for fun. I do have a couple 3s 5000mah already so want that compatability. Also have 4s lipos. Too bad this doesn't work do me. I prefer 4wd anyways. Thabks!

Arrma is decent. I bought the kids a Mega brushed and eventually bought parts to upgrade to brushless. The supplied motor, receiver and servo are junk and WILL break with light to normal use. I had no issues warrantying items but they just broke again. Way tougher than the Jrx-T and Jrx-2 I run.

The good thing about brushed motors is they are cheap to replace. They also don't care about getting wet.
