I had to jump on this after it's been $145 for a long while. It's $1 more than its lowest price according to CCC. It's been hard to find a decent price on SFX and PSUs under 650W. Seems like manufacturers aren't really making them anymore. I don't need 650W, but it'll have to do. Seasonic is one of the best in the industry.

It's really shortsighted to say a higher power PSU for cheaper is better in every way. It all depends on the needs and available space. The manufacturer is a big deal as well.

They're arguably the best around. I put the screws on many Seasonic PSUs in my mining rigs years ago and they ran beautifully. I even had one that was almost 7 years old when I put into a smaller rig and ran it for a year non stop with no issues. They're tanks.
I agree wattage ratings aren't the entire story. I'd trust a Seasonic gold 650 pulling 600W at nearly 100% load continues over a no name 1000W pulling the same. They're that much better.
