I contacted XFinity support. They confirmed that they could see a bunch of deactivated devices on the account. They were not able to remove them themselves, they said this goes to another team. They created a ticket which apparently included the "device IDs" of the deactivated devices on my account and sent this to the backend team. I was provided a ticket number and told to expect a response via email or phone in 48 hour business hours. I am a little skeptical that I'll get a response on the ticket, but it at least seems like they are aware of how this issue occurs and have some methodology for fixing it. Will update if my account gets fixed.

Thank you. How did you convince them to send the ticket to the backend team? Every time I call them, they just refuse to do anything.

Well I just contacted them to follow up and they say that the number I was given was some kind of cancellation ID. Apparently an escalation ticket with start with ECM. They claim to have created one this time. Don't have high hopes.

Seems like a money maker if you get $15/month plan
They recently increase 1gb plan to $20 monthly.

Looks like they made quite a few changes. I think there were three unlimited plans before and now it's two. There's no discounted buckets for by-the-gig, it's a straight $20/GB. The tablet fee got changed from a $10 line access + legacy plan charge (I think) to $20/month for 15GB and then unlimited at reduced speeds.

There's probably a lot of other little things they changed too. They're changing their plans and details way too often as of late. I'm not sure how much legacy support they have, but their billing has got to be a mess.

Important updates on Xfinity Mobile
As we work to bring you the best possible service, we regularly review our offerings and adjust them as needed. Today, we're reaching out with two updates on your Xfinity Mobile plan.

First, we want to let you know that starting May 1, 2024, the cost of By the Gig data will increase to:

• $20/mo for 1 GB
• $35/mo for 3 GB
• $65/mo for 10 GB
If you use more than your chosen amount, additional data will now be charged at the rate of $20 per GB. Depending on your usage, our Unlimited data options may be more cost effective for you than By the Gig data. Explore our latest plan

Second, we have some exciting news about millions of our secure WiFi hotspots nationwide, which we recently renamed "Xfinity Mobile" hotspots. Your Xfinity Mobile devices can now get download speeds up to 1 Gbps when automatically connected to these hotspots. This means you can download TV shows and movies up to 10x faster than before.

We remain committed to bringing you the best value for your mobile service. Thank you for being an Xfinity Mobile customer.

Gets even better:

- Now $25 new line fee (was $10 before and $0 before that)

- Lines using By the Gig data are not included in total number of lines for multi-line pricing on Unlimited data.

I'm not even sure what is going to happen when this all takes effect. By-the-gig goes up, multi-line discounts gone/lowered, your plan doesn't even exist anymore (2 out of 3).

They might also be kicking people off the legacy $12/month (unconfirmed and could be YMMV depending on what lines you have).

It needs me to sign up for the unlimited plan to be eligible for the $100 which is offered as a discount of $10 for 10 months, not a gift card. Maybe it's just me, but the xfinity golden goose is dead. In my prior tenure with Xfinity, I cashed out some 800$ in about 2 years, slightly less than all that I paid including a couple of months of undiscounted service to boot. So, not too disappointed.
