NO is not. 5pro is better.
I use both. 5Pro (black on black clasp band) for workouts due to being lighter and 6 Classic (silver with blue leather band) for more formal outings (heavier, larger/nicer looking).

That wasn't my experience. It directed me to ID.me, which requested proof of enrollment at a college or university. No parent option.

Like others here, I have both the 5 Pro and 6 Classic.

I'm spoiled on the long-lasting battery of the 5 Pro. I like it way more than the rotating bezel on the 6.

The screen is a tiny bit larger on the 6, but it's not a huge selling point.

So I wear the 5 Pro most of the time. I'm going to save my 6 Classic for a maximum trade-in for a future Samsung purchase.

There is no way this watch can last 2 days with the AOD on, in fact it can hardly last 2 days with the AOD off and some basic tracking...

I typically wear my watch from 6 am to 11 pm. I remove it during the night. If I don't charge it, the next day I start with the battery at around 65% if I didn't record a physical activity like a hike the day before.

What do people use their galaxy watches for? I feel like i always have my phone close enough by that reading messages/notifications on the watch seems silly?
My previous Apple Watch 7 LTE and current Galaxy Watch 5 Pro LTE allow me to leave my phone at home (or in the car) when I go for a swim or a run. I can still respond to calls/messages/emergencies while away from my phone.

Besides tracking workouts I like being able to open/close my garage, operate my home smartlock, pay for things, and even lock/unlock/drive our Tesla in the event I don't have my phone or wallet on me. I wasn't a big believer in smartwatches early on but now appreciate the convenience of carrying less in my pockets for certain activities.

A very valid use case. Wife uses that feature often.

Any time I do incline on treadmill (which is every time I use the treadmill) it doesn't track steps. Maybe it's tracking it as stairs, I don't know. But in any case I've had issues with my non-classic watch6. Also had issues with my Watch4, where it would count steps randomly.

Also with the watch6 I have, it feels like there's some ghosting on the display. Didn't have that on my Watch4 or galaxy watch Active

If I could, I'd never have traded in my galaxy watch Active as it worked better than the Watch4 and watch6.
which version of the active did you have? i want to buy a starter watch to see if I even use an electronic watch at all...

Active 1.

However, I don't think they even sell it or the Active 2 anymore (at least brand new). Looks like they have them used on Amazon/ebay... However, at that point it's a total crapshoot what condition they're in or the battery life.

I think for the price, at $99 the Watch4 classic at Walmart isn) about as good as it gets. I wouldn't recommend it (if the battery sucks as much as on the base Watch 4) but I don't think you can do much better in the <$100 range.

If you're just looking for a starter watch and you want LTE on it, this is a pretty good price as well (with a 1yr warranty):

Would trading in a galaxy s3 frontier for a galaxy watch 6 (non-classic) be worth it for $179 + tax? I am not sure if there's any hope for the future of the s3 even as a basic smart watch.
