I have this phone and I actually like it. The screen and design are what does it for me. I don't game or "push" my phones so I don't care about the fastest chip.

If you want a large OLED 120hz screen with an up-to-date design for a cheap price then this is it.

Yeah there are missing features and much better phones out there but that's not the point. For the price nothing beats it.

Boost is the worst...A15 is also the worst phone in the today market.
Antutu benchmark shows its performance beats 2% phone (aka. 98% phones are better than it)

You have to activate the phone within 30 days. Otherwise, Boost will charge you the difference between the list price and sale price (another $160). After activation, you can do whatever you want with the phone though the phone will still be locked for a year. Somebody in another thread said when he got his device and phone got unlocked immediately. That however is a big YMMV.

An UNOFFICAL alternative to the A15 would be the A25 provided you do not mind paying another $60.

LOL..I have a number of phones from Pixel 6a to Samsung A54 to iPhone SE2023 to iPhone 13 and the Samsung A15 (free on Total with $50 plan) and it's been fine. LONG battery life rated for 15+ hours, beautiful and bright AMOLED screen rated to 800 nits vs iPhone 11 at 625 on a IPS screen and low 326ppi, solid sound, and no stutters or lags. I don't play games, but do use a fair amount of gps. I will take 2-3 of these phones to Mexico next month to give to friends or family since unlocked. You mention this phone is terrible..that's laughable. It get's PC Mag's Editors Choice rating which is pretty impressive for it's price point and 4 years of support. Runs butter smooth on Android 14.

Your best bet is ebay or locked phone from promotion like metro, cricket, boost........
Ebay ones are mostly aged one and you will need new battery with used feel.........

In the long run, your new locked phone price will be go up to over $300..... with high plan price.

Nope. Read the review: Samsung uses a MediaTek 6835 system on a chip (SoC) with 128GB of internal storage and 4GB of RAM in the A15.

I received my second A15 (Tracfone with the 1500 min/text, 1.5GB data) from QVC last week (other was from Total) and when I first turned it on, I got a message that said something to the effect that it locks to the initial sim card. I thought that was interesting in that it may be not branded to Tracfone out of the box. Sim was in the phone, but it takes awhile for it to activate on Verizon network. Maybe it would activate on At&t or T-Mo or one of their MVNO's?

This deal didn't work out. They canceled the order two days after claiming it was being shipped soon and said sorry, you're out of luck without any real explanation.
