Trade in values still suck. However, 399 for a base Pixel 8 is pretty good, if you have AT&T or Verizon. But how does one get this deal if you're on T-Mobile? Activate a new line on AT&T? Can you cancel immediately and do they do hard pull or a soft credit check?

T-mobile went into the dumpster. Pulling out all the stops since the merge hold period is over.

As a pixel 7 pro user, I don't recommend any pixel series phone in summer!

As a pixel 7 user. I second this comment and it was only cooling when I had it on the A. C. Vent of my car.

Pixel 6 pro here and my screen flashes green just about all the time. I became a Pixel fan after my 3 XL, but they just aren't the same. I'll never own another after this one. Even reached out to Google and they sent me on my way and didn't stand behind their product at all.

Agreed! my pixel 5 was fine but my pixel 7 has been having an intermittent issue with the speakerphone (software related) that tons of other users are experiencing on the forums.

Additionally, the phone does overheat quickly and Google seems to not vet application updates properly. There are probably 10+ app updates every day for my phone. Samsung never had this and of course the pixel phones are just glitchy compared to my older galaxies.

Headline/description needs to be corrected, this only applies to AT&T and Verizon. Also, it's unclear whether this requires a new line. The deal is misleading as currently posted.

I don't know why everyone always hates on Pixel 8s on this site but I've had nothing but a great experience with mine. Only on the first day did the battery drain quickly, and then after that its been smooth sailing every day.

Pixel 8 owner here, and I have had good luck with mine. Yeah it gets hot in the summer sun... but I found dosing it with water actually did a decent job of cooling it down. No really, when im at the beach ill literally dunk it under water or hose it down with my water bottle.
why not, its waterproof. Ill trade it in for the Pixel 9 anyway. I beat the snot out of this phone, and all the other Pixels in the past. You should see what my Pixel watch goes thu.

Agreed! I don't understand all the hate either. Makes me suspicious of whether or not they ever truly owned one before. I've had a 4a, 6a, and now the 8. And I've never had any issues with any of them, outside a rare minor software glitch or two. Always great in any season of the year lol. I have a friend who is an app developer and buys all the newest phones from Android and Apple, and he keeps going back to Pixels as his favorite phones. He's the one who gave me my 8 so he could get the Pro, but he misses the size of the 8 😆

Do you live in real feel 110°F summers in Texas? And last July I couldn't even have my camera open for very long in Minneapolis at 11am without trying to go into dark mode and dimming? Mind you that was in 90°F degree heat
