I know many people do, but I did not enjoy this game at all. Way too long between checkpoints for my preference. I tried to play this game three times, and rage quit each time. Make sure you know what you're in for before buying this game.
Keeping my fingers crossed that a remake is released in conjunction with the PS5 Pro. The console should arrive close to Bloodborne's 10th anniversary.
I really hated Dark souls 1, should I try Elden ring or bloodborne?
Elden Ring is more broadly accessible IMO, accommodating quite a few different builds and play styles. If you like Elden Ring I would then give Bloodborne a shot

I played Dark Souls 1 first, and didn't understand how to really play it. I thought it was God of War 😢
Years later, I dropped 120 hours into Elden Ring. WAY more accessible. It can be just as difficult, but you're able to go level up and find better equipment much easier.
I just recently went back to Dark Souls 1, and my newfound skills from Elden Ring are taking me all the way through it. But, I also recognize how much more polished Elden Ring is, so there's that.
Anyhow, I do recommend at least doing Elden Ring. It's amazing.
