Having/getting the Go5G+/Next is the hard part for most. Didn't cost me that much more. But once you upgrade plans. . .why not just have/get/buy a $100 ebay S9 etc and get $1k in trade credits instead and no need to open a new line?

I would take this deal for my son but he's on Tello and you need to port in from one of these carriers: "port-in from AT&T, Verizon, Claro, US Cellular, Spectrum, Liberty Puerto Rico, or Xfinity required."

You could buy from either. At preorder it was best deal to buy TMO version from Sammy direct. Trade in still went to TMO

Simple Choice is an old grandfathered plan type that T-Mobile no longer offers, that is much cheaper to hold onto than their new plans. Some promos apply to these old plans, but some promos don't (like this one), and this comment is saying that people who have Simple Choice don't want to upgrade to a much higher monthly bill.

I'm sure this has probably been asked but does anyone know on these add a line promos, once I activate the new line, can I transfer the number from my old line onto this one and then keep this new line with my old number, monthly device credit, etc. and cancel my old line? Or do these promos require that my total number of lines must increase and be maintained?

Weren't the Go5G plans supposed to offer the same deals to existing customers that are being offered to new customers? Why isn't this same deal available for upgrades?

24 monthly bill credits equals 2 year contract - ugh. Then you have to get a very expensive plan for the new line. Double ugh. No thanks!
