Not new. Prices for 12 packs of pop in my area go for $8 when not on sale. And there's no Big Lots stores anywhere nearby. So for me, this is a great deal. Sorry it's not for you.

No Big Lots near me, but

there was also a $5 of $30 food offer at Target (for me at least)

so I ordered six 12-packs which will cover us for multiple upcoming gatherings

Price came out to ~ $3.50 per 12-pack

$3 per 12 pack? Where do you live? I haven't seen that price anywhere since before Covid! For the last year or so, the best deal I can remember is 3 12 packs for 13.99. This is in Queens, NY.

Agreed. This isn't inflation, it is price gouging. And I'll go you one further... I'm convinced it's price fixing, which is illegal in the US. Soda prices have always been low due to the intense competition between the two players in the soda business duopoly. Any sort of collusion between the two companies on an agreed upon price floor is a prosecutable offense. Hopefully someone in the DOJ or FTC is looking into this.

In my area it is a buy at least 3 and get 40% off all 12 packs. making some under $4 each. Usually there is a limit of 3 but this was a no limit deal. Was able to get the $5 off $30 food and beverage coupon, so worked out pretty well. The 40% off is still on the app, so evidently it is not a single use coupon.

Appears Target is trying to move a lot of soft drink product.
