This matches Best Buys "normal" sale for easystores....although I haven't seen the BB deals in a while.

The 16tb deal is slightly a better $/tb

For those that need the reminder, best buy is currently cheaper per TB with the current 18tb easystore deal (this is 14.29/TB) : https://www.bestbuy.com/site/wd-e...Id=6427995 at 250 per 18 (13.89). For those who don't need space immediately wait until we get closer to Thanksgiving they will likely drop into the 200 prices again (I'm hopefully this year is the year the 20/22 drops to the same price per TB at BB)

The reason I personally prefer easystore is without taking them out of the enclosure they can have the spin down timer disabled with the included wd software. The elements can't, which is fine if you're using them only for backup but if you're using them as a video server (Plex or the like) the spin down is annoying AF.

This is worth it for people who need an extra year of warranty (3 vs 2 from BB). Everyone has horror stories about external drives failing, but in the last ~14 yrs I've not had a drive fail before I replaced it because the size was no longer useful for the amount of desk space it took up, but I also keep a 1:1 backup because I've been screwed by externals in the past (I have too many damn externals plugged into my desktops these days 🤑)

Thanks for posting. Anyone have an indication what kind of drives are in these? Any chance one gets lucky with WD reds like the 8TB variety a few years back?
