I prefer right angle for certain situations like connecting stacked HDDs that don't have much clearance from the case's back cover or connecting to the motherboard's outer sata ports since the cable will be inconspicuous and not protruding from the motherboard.
You likely have approximately 30,000 90-degrees fasteners in your bin of crap that came with other poop.
