Ive owned pretty much every model of Vornado fans and a few heaters.
The best model for the money is the 753 Large Air Circulator - sells for $80 but always on sale for $60
Always look at the specs for any Vornado model, the CFM (power of the fan to speak) is one of the highest on the 753 models - higher than models Vornado is charging 2x as much
Vornado's warranty is some of the best in all of retail but as a company they are moving towards gimmicks like Alexa integration vs making fans that have powerful motors
You then say why are you worried about a huge powerful fan this isnt a slickdeal for a garage fan - but if they are reducing speeds on their fans what other corners have they started to cut?
Vornado for life here but buying any model without any issues is no longer the norm
For larger Vornado pedestal option, with a DC motor check this other deal out. Normally $100 on sale and $129 regular, with deal just $50. Marked as expired but it still works fine, keeps coming in and out of stock. Working now when tested.

Everyone throwing noisy fans away. Please get a zoom spout oiler and oil the bearings or learn to take them apart and clean and oil the motors bearings. YouTube it. Takes all of 10-15 minutes and the fans will last a hundred years.
Ive had several of the honeywells any while they blow really hard, their bearings are crap and the whole fans starts to rattle and seize in just a year or two. I've gone throughs several of them now and have finally had it, no more. Same is true of the orange home depot fans that look like a canister, they fail in the exact same way.
I've also had the same problem with the honeywells and replaced them with these vornado 133's and have had 1 go bad right at 4yrs but the warranty was very easy to get it replaced.
Bought a model 630 Medium on Woot 15 years ago. I use it every night and it runs as good as it did the first day. Spent way more on cheap fans that just died. Fair warning on newer stock: Vornado was acquired in 2018 and now some of their offerings are made in China and die fast. https://m.media-amazon.com/images...CCPZRL.jpg But you can select 'made in the U.S.A.' at their online shop to find models hopefully of better quality here https://www.vornado.com/product-c...ade-in-usa.
Needless to say when mine dies I'll try and fix it before doing anything rash. Anyhow, buy once, cry once.
How does Amazon brand compare to this Vornado model? $9 cheaper, seems comparable. I mean it'll get dirty in a few years even it lasts that long. I've routinely thrown away small fans every couple years. Noise level is certainly a preference but other than that, what makes this one $25 a worth sell?
Does this one have a mechanical switch? I have a larger Vornado from Costco but it's a touch switch and always turns on at full speed. It also can't be controlled by an outlet because of the touch buttons ๐
This one has a mechanical switch. If you look at the picture, there's a knob in the back of the fan where you turn it on/off and control the speed.
