Pretty shit specials. Live locally and can get most of these types of hotels for $100 a night almost any time except spring break/Christmas. Don't forget about the resort fee and some charge parking with a shared lot

This is more of an awareness post for Disney Springs hotels, which I've stayed at many times and are a great alternative to Disney hotels (particularly if you have status with any of the brands).

I've done the Doubletree "suites" several times back when Hilton did free breakfast for Gold members and the kids ate free. There is usually a deal from mousesavers newsletter that includes free parking and waived resort fees. All in was around $130/nt in the summer. The B has family suites with bunk beds, and the old Best Western is now a remodeled Dury that includes free breakfast.

It's a little more expensive to stay at the nicer Hilton Palace but it's across the street from Disney Springs which means you can take a Disney bus back to Disney Springs and just walk across the street proving an additional transportation option.

Isn't this a daylight scam? I think there should be a class action lawsuit against such hotel properties that easily skim through resort fees at the mercy of customers. Most people don't go to their pools or any amenities while pn vacation for Disney world. I understand they have resort fees for full blown resorts in Cancun, Bahamas, etc. But this is uncalled for and they have been getting unchecked for quite a long time.

Or they could just charge $300 like those resorts doesn't matter where u stay in FL,, the "new " resort "surge" pricing will take any savings and much much much more!!

Meh. Onsite properties on the low end like All-Star regularly go on sale at $100 and you can get into parks 30 minutes earlier and take transport straight to parks instead of going to the crowded transportation center.

If you want to ride any ride built in the last year, ropedropping the on-property opening or paying hundreds for Genie+ and Lightning lanes are the only way on. Disney has figured out exactly how much you can save staying offsite and has built in a tariff that taxes your time twice over for every dollar saved.

FWIW, Drury Plaza Hotel is advertising "no resort fees." Also Drury includes food and drinks.

We stayed at the Drury Plaza at Disney Springs last summer and absolutely loved it. In fact, we'll be staying again this summer. It was cheaper than all but the lowest-end Disney value resorts and threw in a great free breakfast, free dinner, 3x free alcoholic drinks per adult per night. The nearly-new hotel was sparkling clean and the amenities were great (fun things like pool/hot tub/splash pad and practical features like onsite self-service laundry). Even though it is a non-Disney property, you still get free shuttle transportation + early admission to the parks (the same is true of many other non-Disney "good neighbor" hotels).

I'd like to try one of the high-end Disney resorts some day, but the Drury offers such good value that it's hard to justify going with the Disney resort.

this makes some of the on site disney resorts cheaper, and they are way better for park access. and have better pools and etc. all stars resort for example is 184 a night. i dont think id ever go to disney and not say there the night before, just because of the early access which can easily make your day (by avoiding as much as 4 hours of lines over 2 rides in that first 30 hour).
