I agree with you that out of the box the monitor does have a yellow tint. But then I found these settings on reddit. After changing my settings to those, I don't see the yellow tint anymore. Make sure to turn off the Vision Engine. Now I like it so much that I'm considering to buy another one for my second monitor. https://www.reddit.com/r/Monitors...are_button
"Starter" monitor? I'd call it a "budget" monitor, but starter monitor feels like a really weird phrase. It's not like a starter snowboard that one would upgrade when one gains more skills. This is a very good monitor for perhaps 95% of people.

I went to purchase but at the last minute decided on the S3222DGM (32" Curved Gaming Monitor) for $249 instead. I think I would appreciate the bigger screen, even though it's VA vs IPS.
I suggest looking around online for either a 5% or 10% discount code, plus 5% back using cash-back site, and 1-3% off using the right CC.
Is this more of a side grade to a S2716DG. Can't believe my monitor is 8 years old already but I don't see any reason to upgrade from it, the blacks look fine imo
How does this compare to the Acer Predator XB273U V3BMIIPRX? It's also on sale for $200 over on Acer's website. On paper the Acer has more accurate colors but I was wondering if anyone had tried both monitors. The extra 15Hz refresh rate isn't a big deal to me but I'm curious as to which has better contrast and less ghosting or IPS glow if any.
Honestly its just a little brighter and colors pop a bit more. For $200 its definitely a great monitor to pair with the s2721dgf. Its basiclaly the same excact monitor but with a slightly better display and all of the extra i/o stripped for cost savings.

I play overwatch in 2k mode. and I can hold 165 htz frame.
99% average is around 140.
It has gsync.. so if your frame rate drop it should be fine.
becareful once you go higher frame rate, you don't want to go back.
So technically it's a 1060 GTX 6gb in laptop form with some i5...
I guess I don't need it to run 144hz.
But native 2k, 120hz would be nice for kids Roblox and or Minecraft.
I could do 1080p/ 144hz alot easier I assume?
