From what I remember, neither one said it was the most useless additive.
All the additives had their issues, and none met the claims they all say they do.
Their tests were very controlled and if I recall only focused on the top end of the engine - not other parts of the fuel system or injectors???
That HondaCare warranty was your smartest thing you purchased w/your CR-V. Extended warranties need to be factored into a new car purchase and should be purchased, with the amount of crazy electronics and other components that are not like older vehicles.
BTW, been having the Christmas Tree of Lights issue on my Honda due to the injectors - I keep erasing the code with my BlueDriver app/OBD-II reader. Hoping Honda does the right thing and issues a warranty extension on them (as they did with the Honda Pilot a few years ago and their injector issues)...and I'm only 80k miles!;
Cars are no longer cars - they are electronic boxes on wheels!
This is the most useless additive verified by ChrisFix and Project Farm lol

You'll get more bang for your buck buying a gallon of MMO for $25 and using 1oz/2.5gal or tc-w3 for $20 and using 1oz/5gal and your fuel system will be cleaner with a consistent application at every fill up than using techron 5 times.
Do things like this product actually do anything? Whenever I get fuel, the signs on the fuel already advertise how using their fuel will clean my fuel system…?
It's snake oil if you got a abused, used vehicle, isn't gonna do much at 200k miles. If you got a new vehicle and plan on taking it to 500k this is one of those things that can help you get there. If your new vehicle is a model with an engine that is notorious for carbon build up document the use and it will help resale value. When you sell it at 100k miles.
Word is if you're using Top Tier gas, this stuff (or similar detergents) are already mixed in and these bottles will not do anything that isn't already being done. Fuel additives like this are for when you're using average non Top Tier gas and you need the added detergents that the gas is lacking.
Some Nissans, some VW Jettas and Audis, some GDI Hyundais and Kias, some Fords... Maybe there is a CRV problem (I have no idea, they've sold a bajillion of them), but it isn't something that's limited to Hondas, or pervasive across their various models and engines. And lots of diesels. Back in the day, many RX-7 enthusiasts used to send injectors out to get cleaned and balanced, and there were quite a few places that did this for various diesels.
Wow - $1,400 for a fuel injector replacement on a BMW??
That's AFFORDABLE for a BMW
Doesn't a Tune-Up cost $1,400 on a BMW!
That's a number no one wants to see, of course. And I'll be fair and say that my BMW is 20+ years old, but I've always found that parts for it are very reasonably priced, and aftermarket parts are normally no more expensive than for the Japanese cars I've owned and worked on. Dealer parts and especially labor are another story, but if you know where to shop, maintenance and typical replacement parts aren't bad. Might not be true for newer models, but people always reacted pretty strongly when I said I had a BMW, even though it hasn't seemed that bad to me.

Honda endorses Top Tier Gas in their Owners Manuals.
I wanted to place an order and allow someone else to pick it up. I do not see that option on their site, and it says only the person who places the order can pick it up.
So, not worth the aggravation trying to do that. Even a store like Walgreens has that option.

My daughter has 187k miles on 2007 CR-V, only issue is o2 code, but cleared it, all good. Run Lucas once in a while.

I wonder why?
These engines are known to carbon up because of direct injection.
The problem is that this stuff doesn't help since DI doesn't spray on the top end and the valves.
