Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ 5G tablet at Metro for $49.99. Add it as a second line with minimum $20 data plan. I'm just ordered mine few minutes ago. it was showing OOS until last night but it became available this morning. Sounds like a pretty good deal to me. don't really need it but why not at this price. Total paid $75 with $20 data plan and $4.xx taxes.

FYI - for those not aware - you'd need to have an existing Metro account to be able to purchase this tablet (or any other device as a second/additional line. Like any other Metro phones, this tablet purchase is prepaid, and so you are not locked into any kind of contract. You only need to pay for the tablet and first month of data plan. Then you are free to cancel the service, keep the tablet just as a regular wifi device. This is my first time buying a Metro tablet but I'm still hoping it will unlock after 6 months just like any other Metro phone.

Warning ? ️ - try not to go to Metro stores. They are in general scammers and will try their best to treat you like a fool and steal your money by forced up selling and forced mandatory accessories, exorbitant taxes, and insurance with or without your consent. Try ordering online. You've been warned ??????
Also, if you buy online, there's no activation fees and tax applies to the discounted price. You'll save yourself good cash and respect and a way better deal if you order online.

I think you should put not 49.99 price in the title but 69.99 as a new line of 20 bucks is required.
Saw it added to their website yesterday but it was not in stock.
Called to order through customer service but order didn't go through.

Tried again on the website and was able to order one just now.

Better than buying the Costco WI-FI only version for double the price!
Don't ask me how I know this...

You're getting that reply because your browser couldn't connect to the authentication server Metro uses.

Could be an adblocker, host file, etc. Or even your ISP could be doing it.

The simple answer is to turn off any and all adblockers, script blockers etc.

When everything is working correctly you'll see three challenge questions to authenticate your identity.

And before you say it, yes they do this even if you've already logged in with your Metro account to purchase the tablet. It seems they do the three challenge questions on every order regardless of whether you're already a customer or not.

To sum it up, you need to find what's blocking the connection to that authentication server. I found that turning off all adblocking etc, and opening an incognito tab on my phone, which had WIFI off, and connecting through my mobile network fixed this problem several times.

Good luck

What error did you get? For some reason, some people couldn't get their online orders to go through (getting message "Call us to complete your order"). Since we don't know exactly why, I can only offer the following suggestions.

There are things that people had tried that sometimes got their orders through:
* Use different browers, in incognito mode, turn off pop-up blockers.
* Try a different computers at another location (work, friend/family member's house).
* Order from a cell phone using Data.
* Use a different shipping address.

Created a new account and activated it via eSim, then bought the tab.

I stupidly entered a google voice number prior to unlocking it and metro didn't allow me to place an order. I have unlocked it after this but now metro saying this number can't be transferred. If I wait few hours will metro accept the number or it is blacklisted for good?

ok i did this, as a new customer. some reason i thought it was 50, i didnt notice you also must buy 20 data plan. so it's 70. device is a lot less compelling at that price. you can get amazon fire hd10 tabs on sale for around that, but too be fair the a9+ is simply better (4gb ram vs 3gb, regular android vs fire os, similar cpu). nonetheless the gadget slut in me couldn't resist i pulled the trigger.

i picked up the n30 for 40 to become a customer. i'm an old vet at metro deals, having picked up several phones that way over the yrs. i needed to start the 6 month unlock ticking on a new backup phone anyway, since i am down to a single n20 as backup. i guess now they require a port, thats new to me. the number barn method worked well, but is 7 dollars instead of 5. they add some $2 fee. but it worked perfect besides that. numberbarn claimed as landlines they may take a few hours to port, but by the time my phone arrived and placed sim in, # was already active. i have a longtime gv number so i didnt wanna go the gv route. i wanted to try the n30 anyway, just because i'm a gadget nerd as mentioned. and i like to keep around backup phones, gift phones etc. i like the n30 as i knew i would. i noticed autobill was already turned off on the phone, we'll see if the same on tablet line once the tablet arrives. shipping is typically super fast with metro in my experience, hope that keeps with the a9 order. also not sure if its been covered, but youre going to have to wait the couple days for your phone to physically arrive before you can order the tablet if you use this method, as you will need a pin texted to your ported number on your new phone sim, in order to login to your new metro account and be allowed to order the tablet. tablet has not arrived yet so i cant comment on it. just ordered as phone arrived today.

so a total of about 70 (tab)+40 (Phone)+10 ~(taxes on the tablet/numberbarn)~150, for a 6 month locked n30 with 1 month service, and a 4GB A9+ with one month service. I often classify deals by how I would feel if I saw it in a store, and I'd probably jump on that. i mean just an unlocked n30 is ostensibly 299 (altho thats an overprice with pixel 7a being 349). and it looks like a9+ tablet is going for about 199 new.

TBH I dont care about data on a tablet. I just use them as wifi tablets like everybody. but i've never had it so i can play with that for a month, or more likely the kids i give it too. i have a pixel tablet so i am planning to give away after i satiate my gadget curiosity.

also probably common thread knowledge but seems they wont let me order a 2nd a9+ on the same new account. not that i would have just wondered.

but as u said..at $70 having 2nd thoughts

i shld get the n30 delivered today.(any minute now..come on ups guy/gal)

i too dont like this requirement of having to port in to get the $40 plan.
by luck , i had to port away a xfinity number so worked out for the n30

trying to decide shld i get a NB # and get a razr as well

i too dont wanna mess w my GV #.
may try NB, if i get another phone to "mess " with.
i too like the n30. quite nice.
hopefully no issue in UL in ~180 days.
maybe i will skip the razr.

apart from being folded, i dont see much value in that phone.
only problems, like hinge durability, dust, screen peeling etc

Interesting, I was contemplating ordering another one. Is that the case for everyone, only one A9+ per Metro account? I see people ordering 3-4 iPhones, not sure why they would limit tab purchases.

I ordered 2 before they blocked me from ordering more. I changed my shipping and billing card and was able to order a 3rd one on the same account.
